CRIA is experiencing its fastest growth since the school’s founding in the year 2000. Committed to small class sizes within a Toddler to Grade 12 program, CRIA seeks to hire new staff for program expansion as well as replacement of leaving staff. 

FACULTY QUALIFICATIONS

All teachers and professional staff employed by the CRIA should have a degree or diploma from an accredited university or similar institution. All teaching employees will have a teaching qualification, certification or license from a recognized educational authority, or a masters degree in the subject area to be taught.

As a US accredited school, CRIA has a priority to employ persons with the following general qualifications:

  • A US or Canadian teaching credential in the subject or grade level to be taught
  • A US or Canadian Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent – Master’s Degree is preferred
  • Minimum of two years’ experience
  • At least two references inclusive of current or latest direct supervisor

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Director may accept applications for assignments from persons that do not meet the requirements as stipulated above, where it is clear that the person applying will meet the requirements within a two-year period. Such persons will be treated as Teacher Interns.

TENTATIVE POSITIONS FOR 2019-2020:

CRIA’s Main Campus enrolls approximately 350 students of roughly 22 nationalities from both the local and international communities in Guanacaste and employs a diverse faculty of international school teachers from 11 nationalities (predominantly American) and a comprehensive support staff. The overall enrollment of CRIA is strategically targeted to grow to 520+ students by 2025.

Therefore, we foresee openings for the expansion of the teaching staff for next year. These openings are tentative at this time, and we will post definitive openings for the 2019-20 school year the first week of January 2019.

  • Early Years (Toddler to Grade 2) classroom teacher–dual language program–English and Spanish
  • Primary Program (Grades 3-5) classroom teacher
  • Secondary Math/Science teacher (Grades 6-12)
