Spanish Language and Costa Rican Culture
The changing nature of society has placed greater demands on students. In order to succeed in the twenty-first century, they will be required to acquire new communication skills. The acquisition of other languages will enable students to communicate across cultures and gain knowledge of other cultures in order to interact effectively within the community and global marketplace.
Costa Rican Culture
The Costa Rican Independence Day is the premier cultural event celebrated at CRIA.
The values and traditions of Costa Rica are celebrated through typical dances and theatrical performances, delicious costa Rican food, music and games.
In the past, we’ve had the privilege to experience plays from the Costa Rican National Theater, recitals by the National Dance Company and other famous independent theatrical shows. Furthermore, CRIA works with the Artistic Technical College of Liberia, which has held acting workshops at the school.
Local artists and artistic groups are often brought to campus.
