At Costa Rica International Academy (CRIA), innovation is part of everyday learning. This school year, CRIA’s AI Committee launched a series of initiatives to help teachers and students use Artificial Intelligence (AI) productively and responsibly.
Two powerful new tools—Diffit and VibeGrade—are now enhancing how CRIA teachers design lessons, differentiate instruction, and provide personalized feedback.
- Diffitenables teachers to instantly adjust reading materials to match different skill levels, ensuring that every student can access high-quality texts at their own pace.
- VibeGradehelps teachers provide faster, individualized feedback—turning grading into meaningful learning conversations that promote reflection and growth.
Training and Implementation
During the first quarter, English teachers in Grades 6–12 completed training of secondary students on responsible and effective AI integration. These classroom sessions emphasized academic integrity, originality, and critical thinking.
Students are now using AI tools to enhance their creativity and analytical skills, supported by the school’s Academic Integrity & Responsible AI Use Policy, which was formally adopted this year.
Looking Ahead
As AI continues to shape the world, CRIA is preparing students not only to adapt—but to lead. The next phase of our initiative will expand AI training to additional departments, introduce more classroom applications, and continue to model ethical and creative AI use.
At CRIA, our mission remains clear:
To help every student think, aspire, and achieve—while learning to collaborate responsibly with the tools of the future.
